The Technical department is responsible for the control, maintenance and distribution of the Bureau Veritas Certification Management System (BMS). The department is also responsible for the co-ordination of ISO accreditation activity within Bureau Veritas Certification.
The Technical Assistant shall provide administrative technical support to the Bureau Veritas Certification organization, perform Certification Decision Reviews and ensure that the accreditation / rules & BMS requirements are met. The Technical Assistant shall assist department directors in the maintenance of Bureau Veritas Certification Technical activities and new product development.
MAIN DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:
Review audit files according to the accreditation / rules and BMS processes
Provide clear documentation of review results and findings, where applicable, in order to promote process improvement.
Provide accurate reporting information for work performed to effectively monitor KPI’s
Provide support to field auditors and back office staff as needed.
To assist the Technical Manager in the new product development process.
To undertake any other tasks as directed by the Vice President, Technical Certification Manager and Director of Operations.
Coordinate & monitor internal and external witness audit activities, including providing input to root cause analysis & corrective action discussions
Participate in on & off-site training programs to support auditor development process
The Bureau Veritas Certification Management System is maintained and controlled.
POV reviews are completed in a timely manner.
To remain informed and knowledgeable of all Bureau Veritas Certification products, services, product features and benefits to be in a position to assist in the development of marketing strategies, and to make client presentations when called upon.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
High school diploma
Bachelor’s Degree (desirable)
At least 4 years of work experience in relevant field
Professional auditor qualifications relevant to one or several of the product areas (ISO 9001)
Familiarity with Technical Standards (e.g. Aerospace)
Experience with QA/QC processes (desirable)
Good command of English (spoken and written)
Computer skills (Microsoft office)
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Strong sense of dedication and accountability
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple deadlines
Collaboration and teamwork
