Essential Functions

The purpose of this position is to supervise a group that provides both International and Intercompany Export Customer Support; including specialties in the fields of Export Customer Service, International Export Logistics, Freight Forwarder and Customs Brokerage communications and clearance, for the Aftermarket (Element) Group, in a manner that supports achievement of Corporate Objectives. Sales Plans, and Profit Goals for aftermarket sales. Closely aligning departmental goals with THE WIN STRATGY.

Responsibilities

The duties include, but may not be limited to the following:

• Manage and oversee all “Corporate Direct Sales Accounts” (Grainer, McMaster-Carr Supply, etc.). • Manage all Intercompany Export Sales Accounts. • Apply experience in International Export Logistics, as well as Freight Forwarder and Brokerage Clearance Procedures and Import Duty Regulations. • Apply working knowledge of Import/Export Laws in countries such as Brazil, Chili, Colombia, and Mexico, to facilitate required order and shipment schedules and requirements. • Communicate with both Production Planning and customer to ensure production and order shipment schedules are met and on-time delivery is maintained at greater than 95%. • Communicate with internal and external customers to provide lead-time, pricing, or investigate issues; and to address all account issues. • Ensure department processes of International Export and/or Intercompany Sales Orders to meet established corporate guidelines and customer schedules. • Elicit sufficient facts and detail to clarify indefinite or obscurely stated requests. • Use all available sources to provide information being requested. • Provide timely feedback/resolution to the customer regarding product failures or customer issues or concerns. • Process and manage Material Return Requests, per established guidelines. • Manage and facilitate all Customer Complaints, per corporate guidelines. • Ensure departmental compliance with Sales Policies, ISO Procedures or Work Instructions and IPF Division Policies and Procedures. • Maintain a customer name and address data base. • Collaborate with shipping and traffic to ensure on time shipments. • Maintain ability to backup all co-workers positions. • Complete special projects, as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises a staff of three (3) non-exempt Inside Sales / Customer Service Specialists. Department Staff: 1. Oil & Gas Inside Sales/Customer Service Specialist – 1 2. Oil & Gas Intercompany Inside Sales/Customer Service Specialist – 1 3. Industrial Intercompany Inside Sales/Customer Service Specialist – 1 Total Staff: 3 inside Sales/Customer Service Specialists

Qualifications

The minimum qualifications required include, but may not be limited to, the following:

• International Business Degree, preferred. • Minimum of 10 year’s experience in International Customer Service field, in lieu of degree. • Inside sales experience, preferred. • ERP Order Management, Projects and Commercial Terms experience highly preferred. • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office software. • Customer service experience and people, time management and organizational skills, required. • Familiarity with corporate credit and sales policies, a plus. • Exceptional oral and written communication skills. • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects. • Ability to work in a team environment. • Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
