Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer I The Mechanical Engineering Directorate (MED) leads in mechanical hardware design, development and production of radar, sonar, torpedo and combat system equipment. The MED uses state-of-the-art tools, processes technology and Raytheon Six Sigma principles. When you join the CCA Process Engineering department in McKinney, Texas, you will be helping to address the growth of process automation and Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) with process technology pertaining to soldering and Circuit Card Assembly. You will also gain exposure to different facets within the organization and will have the opportunity to work cross functionally with technicians, process, quality, reliability and manufacturing engineers. This position is for a Manufacturing Tooling Engineer to support the McKinney Circuit Card Assembly (MCCAC) facility. This is both a hands-on and project management position working with operations, process, quality, reliability, manufacturing engineers and technicians in supporting of circuit card assembly. The candidate will be a member of an Integrated Product Team responsible for the design and development of tooling needs to aid in the assembly of complex circuit card designs. This position will contribute to the solutions to a wide range of complex problems related to circuit card assembly. This individual will work under general directions while determining and developing a product to meet the overall design objectives within cost and schedule constraints. This position can be a salary grade G08 or G09 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience, education and responsibility requirements for the position. US Citizenship is required, this position requires the ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance within 1 year of start date. Required Skills : Four (4)+ years of professional experience in the design and development of tooling solutions in electronics or other advanced technical manufacturing industry. Experience with ECAD and MCAD design tools. Experience with ProEngineer solid modeling tool and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ANSI Y14.5. U.S. citizenship is required Desired Skills : Experience in a CCA manufacturing environment. Demonstrated record of process improvements and defect reduction. Experience interpreting engineering drawings, work instructions, processes, and assembly specifications. Familiar with electrostatic discharge (ESD) control. Understanding of Common PDM. Experience with DFAR Requirements. Experience with design standards as well as procurement and acquisition regulations are strongly desired. Proficient with data and root cause analysis, data driven process improvements, cost analysis. Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and implementation.
