Raytheon MCAD Designer in McKinney, Texas

Job Description: Modeling and documentation of mechanical and electrical COTS (commercial off the shelf) and MIL (Military Standard) parts for the Raytheon library. Work closely with engineering and accurately interpret data sheets and drawings used in the model creation as well as storing files in PDM (product data management system). Will be responsible for model quality and documentation meeting all applicable DOD and Industry standards. Required Skills: Minimum of 4 years professional experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or 8 years of professional experience with an Associate’s Degree CREO Parametric ( (formerly known as ProEngineer) modeling and drawing creation PTC Windchill or other PDM (product data management, particularly for CAD files) tools Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Familiarity with ASME 14.100 (Engineering Drawing Practices) and associated standards US Citizenship is required Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance Desired Skills: Ability to interpret data sheets/drawings and work with programs to create models conforming to rigorous enterprise library model quality standards Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Familiarity with MIL-DTL-31000 (technical data packages) standards Existing Security Clearance Prior experience in Defense or Aerospace Required Education: Minimum of 4 years professional experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or 8 years of professional experience with an Associate’s Degree Desired education: Computer Aided Drafting & Design related degree or better This position requires a U.S. person or the ability to obtain an Export Authorization from the appropriate government agency for non-U.S. persons U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date. 113642
