Raytheon Airborne Sensing and Targeting Systems Engineer in McKinney, Texas
Job Description: Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) is seeking an Airborne Sensing and Targeting system engineer to provide algorithm development, performance analysis, and integration support to multiple programs. Responsible for developing, integrating, testing, and qualifying attitude reference system (ARS) and navigational transfer alignment algorithms for GPS and inertial navigation products for airborne targeting and surveillance sensor systems. In addition, this position will be responsible for developing and integrating enhancements to the local precision time product across multiple programs. Required Skills: Minimum of 2 years systems engineering experience Experience with state estimation and Kalman filter algorithm development and test Experience with dynamics and linear controls Experience with navigation transfer alignment Experience with computer modeling and simulation Strong technical writing and oral communication skills Able to work independently on complex analysis projects U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment. U.S. Citizenship and ability to access to US only data systems Desired Skills: GPS and/or INS airborne system integration Airborne sensing system integration, troubleshooting, flight test and qualification Proficiency with MATLAB and/or other algorithm development and analysis tools Experience interfacing with and understanding embedded software implementations and optimization Experience developing C/C++/script based engineering test bench tooling Required Education: B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Math, or Applied Physics. Desired Education: M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Math, or Applied Physics.
