Job Responsibilities

The profitability of the Hydrogen Energy Business is driven by the optimization of the hydrogen supply chain. This includes managing the operation of current and future H2E distribution assets, securing a long-term supply of hydrogen for the various station networks, developing optimum distribution and routing schedules, and maintaining H2C distribution assets. This role will evaluate the current hydrogen supply and logistics P&L; of the business, and develop a sourcing and distribution strategy for supplying our station networks in line with our short and long term needs.

  • Work with internal and external resources to secure liquid and gaseous hydrogen supply for our distribution hubs and stations.

  • Responsibilities include:

  • Developing a sourcing and distribution strategy for near and long term needs

  • Evaluating current assets and resources and recommending new asset purchases

  • Developing and negotiating 3rd party product supply agreements as necessary

  • Managing back office support systems for tracking product deliveries

  • Working with hub facility managers on driver qualification and training plans and unloading procedures

  • Securing maintenance resources and negotiating service agreements for H2C trailer assets

  • Recommending and implementing optimization and planning tools

  • Develop cost justification and internal governance documents necessary to gain approvals for capital expenditures necessary to support supply chain and cost reduction efforts

  • Work with New Energies and other stakeholders to ensure supply chains and station equipment design are optimized with one another

  • Participate in any key development projects involving distribution assets

  • Tracking and optimizing losses through the supply chain

  • Take full responsibility for implementation of recommendations with support from internal and external resources

  • Lead others by influence, consensus building and active engagement

  • Need to be pragmatic and ready to put his/her hands to work

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline

  • 5+ years experience in a similar distribution and logistics role

  • 10+ years of industrial gas experience

  • Knowledge of high-pressure and liquid Hydrogen storage and transportation systems

  • Have prior experience in evaluating a business line profitability and identifying and prioritizing actions to be taken

  • A proven track record of continuous improvement through implementation of actions developed

  • The ability to work in a matrix organization, lead, and influence other workgroups to gain consensus

  • Contract negotiations experience is a plus

*Working conditions*

Working conditions are typically an office environment but this role will require field visits. Travel up to 50% including international travel.

*Physical requirements*

Willing and able to wear the appropriate and required personal protection equipment while not in an office environment. Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
