Responsible to the Director of Electrical Engineering for the planning, implementation and oversight of the engineering goals and objectives for Technical Operations and the Electrical Engineering directorate. The Digital Technologies Section Manager duties include management support to the Line of Business (LOB) Functional Leads (FL), Enterprise Support staff, Simulation, Board Support and Commercial Off-the-Shelf Specialty Application engineers. Provide technical and process oversight, recommendations and support to the program Functional Leads and EE Managers as required. Responsible for LOB staffing support; coordinate with the FL’s to ensure the manpower forecast reflects the latest program and R&D project requirements. Ensure program and project staffing requirements are met. Participate in proposal submissions, program level reviews, and technical reviews. Support the Electrical Engineering process improvement goals and objectives. Duties include review and analysis of metrics data and implementation of process improvements. Establish and update technical standards as required, ensuring technical competencies are maintained. Support Human Resource initiatives including Performance Management, Merit, and Promotion Planning. Duties include the recruitment, hiring, retaining, training and career development of EE Digital Design personnel.

The Locale: Grand Prairie is part of the “Mid-Cities” region in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The region offers a great cost of living combined with a robust economy and a pleasant climate. This North Central region of Texas is a great place to live and to raise a family. The region is home to numerous colleges and universities to include University of Texas at Dallas, University of Texas at Arlington, University of North Texas, Southern Methodist University, Southern Methodist University, and Texas Woman's University. The Mid-Cities is the suburban region filling the thirty-mile span between Dallas and Fort Worth. These communities include the cities of Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, HEB (Hurst, Euless and Bedford), NRH (North Richland Hills and Richland Hills), Haltom City, Watauga, and Keller, along with multiple other smaller towns such as Trophy Club and Roanoke and together represent more people than either Dallas or Fort Worth.

Basic Qualifications - Must possess BSEE or MSEE, strong general electrical engineering knowledge and be familiar with circuit design and components to include electronics testing and troubleshooting. - Experience in electronic system and subsystem design and test, systems analysis, software driven operations and test schemes. - Ability to develop system and subsystem performance requirements and to use test equipment to support acceptance testing, manufacturing production and in-process testing, data processing and analysis. - Must possess strong technical leadership in Digital Design development with strong interpersonal and communication skills in support of team building, coaching and mentoring. Be knowledgeable of VHDL code development, circuit card layout and manufacturing oversight. - Must have an Active Secret security clearance.
