Prepare and execute competitive tenders for goods, services and works in line with the organisation processes and policies to the award of robust contracts.
Manage and co-ordinate key projects to proactively drive cost reduction through effective negotiation and supplier selection.
Provide professional advice to the organisation where needed for all areas of Indirect spend for goods and services to mitigate risk.
Provide support and guidance to the purchasing officer to ensure all policies and procedures are being followed in line with the procurement strategy.
Support procurement manager with budget preparation and management of cost savings and vendor reduction plans.
Prepare and attend internal audits to ensure process adherence and contract compliance.
Build strong relationships with internal and external supply chain partners, to achieve cost reduction and improvements.
Review all new supplier requests and carry out credit and suitability checks.
Implement commodity strategy as outlined by commodity manager
Support group initiatives for improvements and provide data as and when requested.
Challenge and continuously work on improving the internal process to reduce waste.
Assist in the development of indirect commodity and long term strategy
Manage transfer of work projects
Identify, assess, and manage risk to the benefit of Zodiac Aerospace.
Benchmarking suppliers and make strategic decisions to ensure we achieve Quality, Cost and Delivery to support the programmes and production needs.
Negotiate terms and conditions and long term agreements for the benefit of the business.
Ensure supplier quality and delivery performance is maintained in line with agreed targets and agreed key performance indicators and service level agreements.
Support Supplier Development initiatives.
Ensure contract management routines are in place to manage the supply base against agreed contractual terms and conditions.
Identify quality, cost, and delivery improvement opportunities, and drive them through to completion
Rationalise Supply base in line with Business Plan to ensure maximum economies of scale across multiple sites
Knowledge & Qualifications:
A good academic standard of education, CIPS or Bachelors Degree in Business or related field equivalent degree
Evidence of continuing professional development within the last 5 years.
Knowledge of quality processes
Knowledge of modern purchasing tools and techniques
Possess good understanding of contracts and legal aspects of terms and conditions
Candidate should have a proven record in procurement within Goods & Services
Experienced in an In-direct procurement role minimum 5 years experience
Demonstrable experience in change management
Demonstrable experience in assessing and managing risk
Minimum of 5 years commercial buying experience
