Lockheed Martin Reliability Engineer in Houston, Texas

Lead the development of FMEA and Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) for multiple Orion spacecraft subsystems, including Environmental Control & Life Support Subsystem (ECLSS), Electrical Power Subsystem (EPS), and Communications & Tracking (C&T). Coordinate activities with reliability team members, other functional disciplines, and directly with NASA customer to impact trade studies, advise program leadership, and assure timely delivery of reliability analyses. Reliability analyses are key to driving risk informed program decisions and supporting launch readiness.

Basic Qualifications Bachelor degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering. Some background in basic statistics. Ability to interpret functional architecture diagrams and understanding of how electro/mechanical components function. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Desired skills Familiarity with Reliability methods, including Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA) and fault trees on NASA programs is required. Reliability experience may be offset with Orion product engineering, testing, and process knowledge emphasis on Orion ECLSS & Guidance subsystems. Proficiency in Microsoft Access.
