Description

A Configuration Analyst serves as an expert technical resource for configuration management. They plan and coordinate the preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications to ensure customer contract requirements are met. A Configuration Analyst reviews contracts to determine documentation requirements for each phase of a project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes. They analyze proposed product design changes to determine the overall effect on the products and system(s). They establish change orders and prepare for change authorization and documentation by the company and subcontractors. They review and analyze changes to released engineering data and coordinate changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control. A Configuration Analyst participates in reviews and audits to enforce and ensure configuration procedures are being complied with per company processes.

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Bachelors Degree with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience or an equivalent amount of education and experience.

  • Must be able to pass security background checks as required

  • Must have a Secret Clearance

  • Must have good technical writing skills

  • Must have good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Must have ability to use MS Office products

  • Must have experience in running a Configuration Control Board (CCB), tracking baselines and writing/maintaining CM documentation such as CM Plans, agendas and meeting minutes

  • Must demonstrate knowledge of configuration identification, configuration control, configuration status accounting and auditing

Desired Skills

  • Aerospace/aircraft industry experience

  • Familiarity with Teamcenter Engineering (L-3 PLM system) and SAP software (L-3 MRP system)

  • Previous experience planning, developing, documenting and executing a configuration management / change control program

  • Configuration Management certification

Position requires a current Secret DoD security clearance and must maintain said clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
