-Applications engineer located in Austin, TX, responsible for firmware on product development and customer supports for the Intersil’s digital power module products.

-Interface with module design, test and field apps engineers to successfully develop new firmware or modify existing firmware to meet product spec requirements.

-Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: firmware definition, bench validation on firmware, generation of technical documentation, and customer interface and support.

-Customer interactions including firmware related support and troubleshooting. Analysis and laboratory emulation of customer applications is often required.


-MSEE or higher.

-8-12 years firmware development experience on FPGA, digital IC or uP with C language.

  • Industry experience in power management especially in the DC-DC converter.

-Competency in the laboratory, from hardware construction to measurements, is a must.

-Background with IC fabrication and design is a plus.

-Clear and concise communication skills, verbal and written in English, are essential to this position.
