This position will have prime subject matter expert responsibility for dimensional management project areas and leading implementation by updating processes, models, libraries, databases, documentation and procedures. The successful candidate will likely have extensive practical experience with GD&T principles, tolerance stack-up analysis and developing build index plans. In addition to primary responsibility, through cross-training, the position requires a balanced comprehension of general Manufacturing Engineering and related competencies, including (but not limited to) Factory Automation, Factory Flow, Tool Design and Production Engineering – Planning.
Dimensional Management SME w/ demonstrated ability to define and implement processes.
RCCA & process improvement support
Establish curriculum & provide Dimensional Management training
Develops and manages Program Build Index Plans
Establish & maintain Dimensional Management policies, procedures & standards
Comprehensive, practical application of statistical 3DCS (or Equivalent), 1D tolerance stack-up analysis w/ safety factor, Interface Control Drawing’s (ICD), Key Characteristics (KC), Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Critical Index Points (CIP)
Energetic about Factory-of-the-Future systems, tools, automation, delivery systems and processes
Systems experience w/ practical shop exposure
Project oriented w/ Project Management, LEAN, and Six Sigma application experience
Team oriented w/ ability to both participate and lead projects and process improvement initiatives
Able to deliver timely, concise, and appropriate message content to the proper audience at the right time
Deal well w/ high-pressure situations, shifting priorities, and competing interests
Exceptional communicator – verbal and written – w/ ability to gauge audience and temper/tailor message
Proficient w/ administrative tasks (reports, meetings); using MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
Available to travel (30-50%) to support manufacturing sites and projects.

Position related Bachelor’s degree (e.g. Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineer, Aerospace Engineer, etc.) with 8 or more years relative position experience. A substitution of related work experience may be considered as an equivalent to the educational requirement, per the hiring manager’s discretion
Balanced practical work experience in dimensional management, manufacturing engineering, tool design, factory automation, robotics and/or metrology systems, preferably in the aerospace industry.
Capable of leading medium-to-large projects through all phases.
